Ramón Winkel, trainee during master Aerodynamics, faculty of Aerospace Engineering – TU Delft
“As part of my master Aerodynamics at the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering, I did my internship (18 weeks) at the R&D department. During my internship I have conducted flow and combustion simulations with the use of Computational Fluid Dynamics (Ansys CFD) in order to find specific operational limits of the ductburners. I learned a lot about combustion and got to work with the Ansys CFD package, both useful experiences for after my internship.
The challenging research itself took longer than I expected. This had nothing to do with a lack of support. Instead, my daily supervision was easy to talk to. I never heard “no, not right now”.
In short, this family business knows how to get everyone involved in the company and knows how to make everyone feel at home. I had a great time and know for sure that there is still plenty of work for future trainees. In my opinion, this is a friendly learning environment where you can turn training into practice.
After completing his traineeship, Ramón started as R&D Engineer.
